How soon will I receive the item I ordered for my department?
Upon arrival on campus, Receiving Services delivers 99% of all packages within 8 hours of receipt.*
Unspecified or undeterminable mail recipients or locations may take additional research time to determine recipients. Please visit the Location Verification and/or Change of Name links to ensure your profile is accurate. In addition, please confirm your Pipeline profile up to date as well.

Do I need to receive the item into Banner?
Standard Purchase Orders are received into Banner by Central Receiving.

Do I need to receive blanket purchase orders?
Yes, Central Receiving does not have the required information needed to receive blanket orders.

How can I track the delivery of my university purchase?
The receipt of purchases can be tracked in Wayne Buy and additional information can be obtained by contacting Receiving at (313) 577-2377.

Can Receiving tell me if they have received my item?
Yes, Central Receiving can provide this information and in addition, provide dates, copies of packing slips and department signatures. You may also check some of WSU's vendor websites for status updates.

How do I return an item to the vendor for credit?
If the item was acquired with a Purchase Order you must obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA). The RMA is initiated through Purchasing. If the item is purchased with your University Procurement Card you must contact the vendor to authorize the return. Central Receiving will then pick-up the merchandise and make all necessary preparations for the vendor return.
